When developing a new product we can provide a close coorperation to cut costs in the construction work, the casting and machining process. I this stage we can also affect the impact of the climate and create good conditions for high quality.

When the contruction work is done we always perform simulations of the casting and soliditation process before production of prototypes. We offer reports from the simulations for analysis.

To ensure that the design and mechanical quality are as expected we offer prototypes by 3D-print sandmolds to cast with. This method has a fast delivery time, does not require investment of pattern or completed drawings.

In connection with the delivery of the prototypes we can offer a measurement protocol based on a scanning of the article performed with our 3D-scanner. The prototypes and protocol give our customers the oppurtunity to analyse their new product and implement improvements before investing in pattern for the serie deliveries. 

We have a pattern workshop in house where we provide our customers with adjustments, maintenance and manufacturing of pattern and core boxes.

The materials we offer are ductile iron and pig iron. Over the years working in the industry we have created and developed specific prescriptions for each individual material and alligation. For each treatment of ductile iron we perform controls and analyses of the structure in the material. We send tensile test rods to third part for varification of the mechanical quality.

The molds and cores for the casting is manufactured with sand. The shaping of the molds are made at one of our three mold lines. At Holsbyverken we have one HWS machine line and one manual palette line. At Älmhults Gjuteri we have a GF machine line.

The melting of the iron is being made in our induction ovens. Over the years in the industry we have created and developed high quality prescriptions for each material and alligation. The casting is being produced in one of the three mold lines. 

Palette sizes:

• HWS: 640x510x250/250 mm.
• GF: 900x700x300/300 mm.
• Palett: Upp till 1400x1000x450/450 mm.

Nordcast has a long experience within trading of iron and steel in large serier with weights from 1-10 000 kg. Our suppliers are thoroughly chosen with focus in technical competence and equipment. Nordcast takes the responsibility for logistic and quality. 

To secure short delivery times we offer warehousing against call of orders and back up with our foundries within the group.

With high precision we are milling iron and steel in our modern machine park. We can keep a high production capacity and precision of deliveries.

Our other method of machining is lathing. We lathe details up to Ø900x1500. We can offer flexibility and a cost effective machining.

With are measurement equipment we are able provide our customers measurement to ensure that the tolerances and requirements matches the drawings.

We offer assembly of bearings, bushings and bolts.

Thanks to a closely and long-term cooperation with extern parties we can offer surface treatment to deliver a complete detail.
